Bucknell Club Ice Hockey

     

Bucknell Club Ice Hockey provides Bucknell students a unique opportunity to participate in competitive collegiate Ice Hockey, while maintaining a stringent focus on academia. Bucknell Club Ice Hockey is part of the Great Northeast College Hockey Conference, an ACHA D2 Club affiliated league. 


 
Bucknell Club Ice Hockey practices twice a week in Sunbury , PA and plays all home games in Sunbury. 

2010-2011 Summary:
Bucknell finished the season with a 9-8-1 regular season record. Despite a winning record, the team narrowly missed the final playoff spot by one game. Anchored by a strong, young goaltending duo, Bucknell seeks to find it's way back to the GNCHC playoffs next season.


 

2009-2010 Summary:
The 2009-2010 season marked Bucknell's inaugural season in the Great Northeast Collegiate Hockey Conference (ACHA DII). With the help of a solid freshmen core, the team finished with an impressive 14-3-1 regular season record, earning the 2nd seed overall and a first-round bye in the playoffs. In the semi-finals, Bucknell was unable to advance past a physical team from C.W. Post, who went on to become the 2009-2010 champions. 


 

2008-2009 Summary:
The season began with the hiring of our new Head Coach, Dr. J.T. Ptacek.  The team finished with a 6-8 record, narrowly missing the playoffs by the 3rd tiebreaker.  The team looks forward to a more successful season with a young but talented squad.
 

2007-2008 Summary:

The season was capped off in epic fashion as the team lost in an overtime shootout to Gettysburg in the semi-finals of the MDCHA Playoffs.  Gettysburg went on to win the MDCHA Championship.  The team looked forward to the off-season for a chance to train and come back stronger in the 2008-2009 season.
